Waracle acquires data and cloud consultancy Inov8 to further grow our data and artificial intelligence capabilities

Waracle has agreed a deal to acquire Inov8, an Edinburgh-based cloud and data services consultancy. The acquisition aligns with our growth strategy to increase the percentage of revenue from our Data & AI practice in 2026.

The acquisition pairs our 300-strong team, with expertise in digital product development across Financial Services, Energy, Health and Public Sector, with Inov8 Consulting’s team of 28, which specialises in cloud services, data services and artificial intelligence.

Founded in 2011 by Brian Graham, Inov8 Consulting has an excellent reputation for data management and data consulting in modern cloud infrastructure, paired with a developer-first culture that is celebrated by staff and clients alike. This acquisition helps us further bolster our Data and AI credentials, after the strategic appointments of David Low as Chief AI Officer and James Poulten as Head of Data & AI in 2025.

This acquisition comes hot on the heels of our acquisition of HackSoft, a software engineering operation in Sofia, Bulgaria, alongside another strong year of organic growth, bringing us to 300 people across our five offices in London, Glasgow, Dundee, Edinburgh and Sofia.
