Waracle have today announced the strategic appointment of Krum Hadjigeorgiev as the first Non-Executive Director (NED) of Waracle in Bulgaria.
In November 2025, Waracle agreed a deal to acquire HackSoft, a software development consultancy based in Sofia, Bulgaria. The acquisition marks a significant milestone in Waracle’s ambitious growth strategy, expanding its geographic footprint beyond the UK for the first time in its 17-year history.
Waracle continues to integrate HackSoft and uses the presence in Sofia as a hub to attract and retain top talent in the technology industry. Hadjigeorgiev joins the Waracle board as an independent advisor to support the company’s ambitious growth trajectory within Bulgaria.
A titan of the Bulgarian software industry, Hadjigeorgiev is the Founder and former CEO of Melon, Inc. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of BASSCOM (Bulgarian Association of Software Companies), where he is a leading advocate for digital education, innovation, and national tech strategy.

“Krum’s reputation as a visionary leader in the Bulgarian tech ecosystem is unparalleled,” said David Tuck, CEO. “His deep roots in the region and his proven track record of scaling technology firms make him the perfect advisor to help us navigate our next phase of expansion. On a personal level, as someone I have enjoyed working with for over five years, I’m delighted to have him on board.”
Tuck added, “Maintaining a consistent company culture across all Waracle’s locations is a key driver for the future success. Waracle’s reputation for integrity, transparency and clarity is unrivalled in the UK, and Krum’s notoriety in Sofia will help us build further brand awareness in this key growth hub”.
In his capacity as Non-Executive Director, Hadjigeorgiev will focus on four critical pillars of Waracle’s regional strategy:
“Waracle has a clear vision for being the best and, in the process of integration of HackSoft, shares global industry best practices in the local economy ecosystem,” said Krum Hadjigeorgiev. “I am excited to support Waracle in unlocking the immense potential of the Bulgarian tech sector and ensuring that our regional growth is both sustainable and culturally integrated. I’m also proud to be promoting foreign direct investment in Bulgaria and the region”.
“It’s a pleasure and privilege to be working alongside & learning from a person with the experience of Krum! Together, we will show the true potential of the Bulgarian tech sector” said Radoslav Georgiev, Waracle’s Managing Director in Bulgaria.
This appointment reinforces Waracle’s commitment to investing in Bulgarian talent and infrastructure, positioning the company as a premier digital product partner across Europe.
