Waracle is looking for a Senior Python Developer to join our team on a permanent basis.

 

In your time at Waracle you may work on a variety of projects. We have a practical approach to how you work best and also the project requirements. This role is remote working but may need to work at the client spot sometimes. If that’s the case, we’ll make sure to give you a heads-up.

 

As a Senior Python Developer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing clean and high quality code as part of a full stack team.
  • Building complex back end integration services, which simplify procedures for end users.
  • Working within a multidisciplinary team, building from front-to-back end from large data sources to visual presentation. 
  • Offer incremental and credible improvements to solution designs and wider technical architecture. 

Requirements

  • Expert level skills with Python and the Django framework
  • Experience in API design and development.
  • Experience both in cloud and on-premise development, with multiple operating systems and software versions in service.
  • Strong skills with Solution Design, with the ability to advise on improvements for wider Technical Architecture.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate technical designs to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working within a full-stack, Agile development team.
  • Good knowledge of Kubernetes and Helm

Desirable Experience

  • Experience of working in an orchestrated environment using gateways to services.
  • Background working with Data specific libraries such as Pandas, PyMongo, NumPy, Seaborn or similar.
  • Exposure to modern cloud platforms - Azure, AWS or GCP.
  • Exposure to ML technologies such as Pytorch would be beneficial, but not essential.

Recruitment process

The recruitment process you can expect for this role is an initial call with your dedicated Talent Acquisition Partner who will chat with you about Waracle, what you are looking for in a new position, the salary for the role, notice period and benefits (the important stuff!). After that, will follow a 2 introductory interviews with members of our leadership team. The final interview will involve a proposal task, where you have an opportunity to showcase your technical craft, find out more about the role and show off your skills and experience.
