We partner with ambitious clients to solve their biggest business and customer challenges, innovating and creating intelligent digital products and services. If you thrive on complex challenges and enjoy delivering business-critical IT transformation projects, this is the place for you.

This is a Hybrid role working from our Dundee, Glasgow, Edinburgh, or London offices.

About the Role

As a Senior Fullstack Developer at Waracle, you will be a pivotal technical leader, using your expertise across both frontend and backend technologies. Beyond writing high-quality code, you will shape the technical direction for complex digital applications, mentor high-performing teams, and drive the adoption of best practices. This role demands deep expertise in .NET and C# for the backend, coupled with strong proficiency in React for the frontend. You will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and deploying robust, scalable, and high-performance end-to-end solutions that truly solve our clients’ challenges.

Key Aspects of the Role Include

  • Technical Leadership & Full-Stack Development: You will provide technical leadership, designing and building advanced, scalable .NET/C# backend and sophisticated React frontend applications. You’ll set the technical direction, contribute to architecture, and ensure top-tier code quality.
  • Agile Project Delivery: You will lead the software aspects of complex digital projects, aligning efforts with objectives and client needs. You’ll champion Agile methodologies, resolve impediments, and drive continuous process improvement.
  • Client Collaboration & Mentorship: This role involves extracting complex client requirements and building strong client relationships. You will also actively mentor and coach mid-level and junior developers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
  • Innovation & Continuous Learning: You will drive transformative innovation by exploring emerging trends in the full-stack ecosystem and acquiring new skills to lead change management initiatives.

Requirements

  • Extensive professional experience as a Fullstack Developer with a strong portfolio of delivered web applications.
  • Expert-level proficiency in .NET and C# (including .NET Core/5+), ASP.NET Core, RESTful API design, and microservices architecture.
  • Expert-level proficiency in React, including core libraries, state management, and modern frontend practices.
  • A solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks (e.g., Entity Framework Core).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), CI/CD tools, and version control (Git).
  • Proven technical leadership, including setting technical direction and conducting code reviews.
  • Significant experience leading complex software development projects and a deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with a track record of mentoring and coaching developers.
