Job description

Waracle are looking for a Learning, Development & Enablement Manager for an exciting new role joining our world-class digital technology consultancy and home to a diverse, smart, curious and ambitious community of specialists in technology-driven transformation.

We work with ambitious clients to help them solve their biggest business and customer challenges. We help our clients to innovate and create intelligent digital products and services. We thrive on complex  challenges and deliver business-critical IT transformation projects, moving seamlessly from strategy, design and delivery to operations.

This is a Hybrid role with flexibility across our hub locations (Dundee, Glasgow, or Edinburgh).

Shape the Future of Talent and Continuous Learning

Are you passionate about helping people thrive, grow, and unleash their full potential? As our Lead Learning, Development and Enablement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing our vibrant professional communities, championing craft excellence, and empowering our teams with future-ready skills. You will act as a trusted guide and champion for continuous learning across Waracle, shaping an inclusive, forward-thinking training ecosystem where everyone has a clear path to develop their career, master emerging technologies like AI, and build confidence in their everyday craft.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Evolving L&D Strategy & AI Fluency: Design and scale creative learning pathways that boost AI and digital literacy, ensuring our teams stay ahead of industry trends and client needs in a supportive environment.
  • Building Clear Career Pathways: Partner closely with Practice Leaders and the People team to co-create clear, structured learning journeys mapped directly to our career frameworks, giving everyone a visible path from learning to promotion.
  • Leadership & Coaching: Design and facilitate engaging workshops and coaching initiatives that support, mentor, and empower our Line Managers to lead with empathy and clarity.
  • Facilitation & Course Curation: Combine strategic leadership with hands-on delivery by facilitating dynamic workshops, curating high-impact internal/external learning content, and ensuring client-facing courses meet exceptional standards.
  • Cultivating Inclusive Communities: Support and grow internal practice chapters (including AI and Data Engineering) and foster vibrant connections by organising external meet-ups, hackathons, and networking events.
  • Redeveloping the Waracle Academy: Relaunch our Academy and graduate programmes to warmly welcome, mentor, and rapidly elevate early-career talent into high-performing consulting professionals.

What you'll bring

  • Research shows that women and underrepresented groups often apply to jobs only if they meet 100% of the qualifications. At Waracle, we hire for potential, passion, and a collaborative mindset just as much as current experience. If you share our values and believe you can excel in this role, we strongly encourage you to apply, even if you don’t tick every single box.
  • L&D Expertise in Tech: Demonstrable experience designing, facilitating, and scaling meaningful learning initiatives within a digital technology consultancy, software environment, or fast-paced tech sector.
  • Collaborative Leadership: A proven ability to partner with leaders, bridging skill gaps and transforming career frameworks into encouraging, actionable learning steps for team members.
  • Passion for Mentorship & People: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with an innate ability to connect with, motivate, and mentor diverse personalities across hybrid locations.
  • Hands-On Facilitation Skills: Experience designing and leading engaging workshops, leadership programs, and soft-skills coaching tailored to emerging leaders and managers.
  • Modern Platform & Community Experience: Experience managing Learning Management Systems (LMS e.g., Udemy) alongside a passion for building inclusive internal communities or hosting external community events.
  • Strategic & Analytical Mindset: Comfortable using learning metrics and feedback thoughtfully to continuously improve course quality, engagement, and development budgets.

Our values

To make the world a better place through impactful software

We take pride in delivering high quality work and seeing the impact it has. We are curious, proactive, and always learning; continuously improving ourselves and our skills. We strive for excellence in everything we do. We see every opportunity as a chance to raise the bar - for Waracle, our clients, and for our own professional growth.

We succeed together: whether we’re leading, supporting or learning. We lead with empathy, working as a unified team to understand and appreciate other people’s perspectives and experiences. This commitment to one another empowers everyone to do their best work and reach their full potential. We build trust, celebrate every contribution, and create a space where everyone has the opportunity to shine.

We have big goals, but we don’t try to do everything. We know there are a limited number of hours in a day, so we make every one of them count. We accomplish this by regularly pausing to assess the potential impact of our work, prioritising what matters most and then acting with purpose.

We are transparent in how we think and act. We seek and share context, give and accept feedback, and communicate openly. We take full ownership of what we deliver as individuals and as a team, and hold ourselves accountable. This openness and accountability gives us the clarity and purpose to deliver at our best.

We love what we do and find the fun in each day, celebrating our shared successes and the satisfaction of doing hard work well. We’re in this together, creating space for connection, laughter, and fun. When we look after our clients and each other, and do work we’re proud of, we go home happy.
