The JLL Retail Business wanted to produce a new sales tool, Redefining Retail Places. The tool would pull together key data points related to the best attributes of shopping centres around the world. Where previously sales teams would manually gather the information from a vast array of presentations and handouts they needed to drive greater sales effectiveness by putting the knowledge directly in the hands of their experts, wherever they were.JLL needed a partner who could execute to these requirements and bring world-class mobility experience and expertise to the project. It was also key for JLL to grow their own knowledge on the back of this project to continue improving this important integration service for their enterprise.
JLL commissioned Waracle from a nation-wide tender and Waracle kicked off the project with an App Ideation Workshop, not only to uncover the needs and business expectations of JLL but to really push the concept of what else could be achieved.A key part of this Android app was creating a backend database for over 600 worldwide retail properties. From this millions of data points could be searched and filtered including everything from location specific information, quality of the infrastructure, demographics, images and other financials i.e. average price per square foot.
The Redefining Retail Spaces App is now deployed internally across the whole retail division. Sales staff can now deliver an interactive sales experience and even send the client more information on venues of interest from the app itself. Back-office support can now quickly and dynamically upload new opportunities in their custom back-end so sales can present new opportunities hot-off-the-press on iOS and Android tablet devices.
