Waracle is looking for a talented Technical Cloud Architect to join our talented team who are building a groundbreaking Digital Health machine learning platform. We are working on research projects that will help improve the lives of people with serious health conditions.

This position can be remote from anywhere in the UK and is open to both permanent and contractor candidates.

Our ideal candidate will be a ‘hands-on’ Technical Cloud Architect who has strong experience working with Azure, leveraging GitOps for machine learning workloads. You will have a strong focus on best-practice architectures within Azure, guided by DevOps principles. Keen to use your skills and knowledge, you will help shape the future of our Digital Health machine learning platform.

You will work closely with the project’s Solution Architect and be positioned in the delivery team with DevOps and Cloud Engineers. Here you will deliver technical solution designs, documentation and best-practices which will leverage the very best of Azure. This is a greenfield project and it’s success will set the standard for years to come.

The Technical Cloud Architect will be responsible for:

  • Act as a subject matter expert in solution design, pertaining to the machine learning project.

  • Support best practices for solution design and implementation.

  • Analyse technologies used within the project to drive improvements and recommendations.

  • Create sequence diagrams for data flows and architecture documentation
  • Support the development team and provide technical guidance and assistance where required.

  • Work closely with project management teams to successfully monitor progress and to spot, prevent and foresee technical impediments

  • Work with the project’s Solution Architect to map requirements to IT solutions and to ensure the project meets the programme level architecture requirements



  • Strong technical experience and understanding of infrastructure and architectures specific to Azure.
  • Experience with GitOps managed Kubernetes clusters
  • Experience directing work on infrastructure as code and using automated deployment tools such as Bicep, Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, and GitLab.
  • Experience working within an ever-changing, Agile enviroment
