We are looking for a talented Product Owner to join us in delivering a digital Fintech product, used by millions across the UK. 

 

​​This position will offer mostly remote working patterns with some office presence at the London or Bristol office (once per week) and is open to contractor candidates.

 

What your day to day will look like:

  • Act as the central touch point between design, engineering and product staff and the leadership to ensure they all agree and understand the product roadmap.
  • Translate high level vision into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
  • Take ownership of the backlog refinement, feature team stand-ups and escalations to senior stakeholders. 
  • Coordinate and oversee the planning stages of all products and features, to ensure scope is well defined, initial roadmap is established and measurable outcomes are agreed. Provide support to ensure the design and development teams are clear on next steps.
  • Running of product vision workshops with the client, goal and impact mapping, defining of project OKRs/KPIs alongside engineering, architecture, UX/UI and all other stakeholders, potentially including clients and investors.
  • Set and evangelise the best practice for analysis and product ownership and ensure that this meets the needs and expectations of all stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Background as a Product Owner or Product Manager within an enterprise setting.
  • Strong skills in leading a highly technical product feature team.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage the product backlog independently.
  • Background working within financial services, ideally retail or commercial banking.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate high level vision into well-defined product requirements.
  • Background in developing mobile applications on iOS or Android is highly desirable.
