Waracle is looking for a Java Developer to join us on a greenfield digital project with one of the UK’s leading retail banks. You’ll be working within a top team, using cutting-edge technologies to build best-in-class applications.

We pride ourselves in our remote-first ethos so this role can be based remotely from anywhere in the UK or from any of our 4 tech hubs (Edinburgh, London, Glasgow and Dundee). Candidates looking for a permanent or contract role are welcome to apply.

You’ll have expert knowledge of java and be a natural born problem solver – you’ll relish the challenge of having to solve complex problems and come up with brilliant solutions and products. You’ll be a strong communicator and able to get ideas across to the team and also be able to liaise with customers and clients.

Requirements

  • Top level skills with modern Java languages (8 and above)
  • Experience with Microservices (SpringBoot) and API's
  • Skilled with Open Source technologies, such as Spring and Hibernate
  • Knowledge of Cloud Platforms and associated technologies (AWS, Azure or GCP)
  • Experience working within financial services or other regulated environments is preferred
