Waracle are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our talented team on a groundbreaking Fintech project.

It’s an amazing time to join our team and you’ll be supported by a rapidly growing team of experienced specialists in design research, UX, UI, Scrum, product, data and cyber security, alongside developers specialising in native, hybrid and web and integration technologies.


This position can be based from Edinburgh or Milton Keynes, but is currently remote working and is open to both permanent and contractor candidates.


The ideal candidate will be an innovative problem solver, passionate about delivering solutions and an enthusiastic team player. Excellent communication skills are a must, as we work within cross-discipline teams and with various stakeholders. Technically speaking, strong experience in cloud technologies, automation, APIs and security-related fields is a must.


What you will be doing:

  • Leveraging the latest cloud technologies to deliver solutions on time and within budget.
  • Automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
  • Configuring CI & CD pipelines.
  • Managing cloud infrastructure.
  • Monitoring and the remediation of live services.
  • Designing and implementing web APIs.


  • AWS with Terraform
  • Competent with scripting languages such as Typescript/JavaScript or Python
  • Bash
  • ELK stack or similar
  • Knowledge of Centralised Logging, AWS Cloudwatch,, etc
  • Agile Methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)

Desirable Experience

  • Issue Management systems such as Jira, etc
  • Monorepo experience (eg lerna, yarn workspaces, nx)
  • Version Control Workflow Approaches (eg gitflow github flow, trunk-based)
