Job Description

We’re looking for a talented community manager to lead our community growth strategy. As the face and voice of Waracle, you’ll play a key role in elevating our community presence through events, social media and creative content. You’ll be passionate about relationship development and audience engagement with a good understanding of the UK technology industry and emerging trends.

As Community Manager at Waracle, you will lead the community engagement strategy within our key industries. You’ll be self-driven, and ambitious with sound experience in developing established relationships with community members, industry peers, customers, influencers and stakeholders. You’ll be top of your game when it comes to tracking industry trends, community news and events with a passion for influencing, connecting and inspiring other people to get involved. Events and Social Media will play a key part in the strategy, ensuring Waracle is seen and heard within the UK tech community.

This position will be remote however there will be an expectation that you will be able to travel when necessary to attend meetings and events, UK Wide. This is a permanent position.


  • Experience in community management (preferably within the technology industry)
  • Solid understanding of brand building, customer engagement and relationship development tactics
  • A natural leader with the ability to lead and influence others both internally and externally
  • Solid track record of planning and launching successful community initiatives/events
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and network with people at all levels
  • Confident in running and attending varied UK industry events
  • Skilled in developing, facilitating and monitoring communications before, during and after events on different digital channels
  • Experience engaging with tech user groups, industry partners and event speakers
  • Extensive background in crafting creative content for social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram) and other digital channels
  • Always on top of industry trends, news, and events and able to script creative copy around this
