Job Description

You must be passionate and enthusiastic about infrastructure engineering, ops and sysadmin work on a large multi-account AWS estate.

The primary AWS services are EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB and Parameter Store, controlled via Terraform.

It’s an amazing time to join our team and you’ll be supported by a rapidly growing team of experienced specialists in design research, UX, UI, Scrum, product, data and cyber security, alongside developers specialising in native, hybrid and web technologies.

This position will be based remotely (UK) or from any of our Spaces offices. It is open to both permanent and contractor candidates.

You’ll support a critical set of business activities in the cloud:

  • On-call every 6 weeks for critical issues, after you are up to speed within the team.
  • Resilience and disaster recovery testing.
  • Writing Terraform IaC and improving the coverage.
  • Patching of EC2 virtual machines.
  • Infrastructure upgrade and general improvement activities.
  • Responding to Infrastructure monitoring and alerting.
  • Handling BAU requests.
  • Working with the InfoSec team, to ensure AWS resources are configured appropriately.

Requirements

  • Experience in managing a large multi-account AWS estate.
  • Terraform IaC.
  • Managing EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, VPC, Codebuild, Cloudformation, CloudWatch, CloudFront, Route53 and Parameter Store.
  • Standard AWS service engineering.
  • Experience with various build pipeline/CI/CD tools.
  • AWS Shield Advanced, WAFv2, AWS Firewall Manager.
  • AWS Security and Networks.
  • Some experience of Python and Bash scripting.
