Job Description

Waracle is home to a diverse and inclusive community of technologists. We collaborate with ambitious businesses on their most challenging technology and digital product missions. In your career at Waracle you can expect to work on a variety of projects within some of the UK’s biggest brands in Health Tech, Fintech or Clean Tech, gaining experience and exposure to a range of languages and technologies.

Our growth has been significant and sustained, recently recognised by Clutch as one of the Top B2B companies in the UK, we are constantly seeking top industry talent to join our team and grow our expertise. Our clients are organisations with ambitious missions, where we deliver products, services and enterprise systems to help them solve their most challenging business and customer challenges.

As a Client Partner, you’re a proactive business developer and relationship-builder, uncovering opportunities for custom software development and services with potential clients and existing ones alike.

This position will offer hybrid working from any of our Scotland offices (Edinburgh, Glasgow or Dundee).

While this is a commercial role responsible for driving business development plans, at Waracle, we pride ourselves on doing the right thing for our clients. Your superpower is developing empathy and understanding for client needs, and working with others to translate those into viable plans our clients will love. You will have a keen, curious eye for problem solving whilst being conscious of constraints.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable business development experience, with a strong focus on greenfield development, working with early-stage projects and constrained-budget work.
  • Experience in revenue-generating roles with a track record of rapid, consistent new client acquisition resulting in over £1m of annual revenue generation.
  • Understanding of technologies relating to digital development and the impact of skill shortages in this area.
  • Good understanding of the challenges in digital healthcare and the wider healthcare sector, with experience creating software solutions for the industry.
  • Ability to lead the end to end sales cycle from lead generation and prospecting, to contract negotiations and onboarding.
  • Experience forging long-lasting relationships at the highest levels in clients organisations, leaving a foundation for long-term occasional work beyond initial engagements.
  • Ability to help develop and grow the Studios division, adapting the core services and capabilities created by Waracle’s technical and delivery leaders.
  • Ability to efficiently deliver for clients who may be budget-constrained, early-stage or grant-funded without room for doubt or heavy process, whilst managing potential risks.
  • Experience managing multiple clients with various expectations, and working with Waracle's delivery teams to ensure these are met.
  • Understanding of product development lifecycles and how Waracle can create further demand, standalone propositions and high-margin opportunities.

Recruitment process

The recruitment process you can expect for this role is an initial call with your dedicated Talent Acquisition Partner who will chat with you about Waracle, what you are looking for in a new position, the salary for the role, notice period and benefits (the important stuff!).

After that, will follow an introductory interview with the Hiring Manager. The final interview is with senior members of the Client Partnerships team, where you have an opportunity to showcase your technical craft, find out more about the role and show off your skills and experience.
